GiveLitter™ Launches Charitable Initiative To Benefit Three Texas-based Animal Shelters
Pet Enthusiasts Encouraged To Vote Online and Help Total Donation Amount Grow
Muscatine, IA – April 4, 2011— Three of Texas‘ largest animal rescue groups are gearing up for a social media driven campaign that will benefit shelter cats with the click of the mouse. World’s Best Cat Litter® is bringing its GiveLitter™ initiative to Texas in an effort to donate thousands of pounds of much-needed cat litter to the SPCA of Texas in Dallas, Citizens For Animal Protection in Houston and the Austin Humane Society!
The GiveLitter™ initiative makes donating easy by bringing the voting campaign to „feline-thropists“ via Facebook at facebook.com/worldsbestcatlitter and on the charity’s website at givelitter.com.
From March 31st through May 13th, 2011, pet-lovers everywhere can vote once a day at either online location and donate World’s Best Cat Litter® to their choice of the three Texas-based animal shelters. The effort follows on the heels of two previous GiveLitter™ campaigns that donated more than 5,255 pounds of World’s Best Cat Litter® to animal shelters in Washington D.C. and more than 18,606 pounds to rescue organizations in Los Angeles.
Organizers are encouraging individuals to log-on and participate in the GiveLitter™ campaign that reflects an ongoing commitment by World’s Best Cat Litter® to support the efforts of animal shelters who find homes for neglected, abused and lost animals.
„We invite animal lovers everywhere to become part of the GiveLitter™ initiative and help these Texas animal shelters as they work tirelessly to address community needs,“ said Paul Zobel, Senior Director of Marketing, World’s Best Cat Litter®. „As a result of all the people who voted online, our GiveLitter™ program has donated over 23,000 pounds of World’s Best Cat Litter® to deserving shelters in Los Angeles and Washington D.C. We now raise a new challenge for feline fans to vote again so we can help these great Texas shelters.“
