GiveLitter™ Donates 30,000 Lbs. of World’s Best Cat Litter®️ to Two Southeast Animal Shelters
Online Voters Help Shelters Reach Their Goal in a Record Four Days
Muscatine, IA – December 18, 2012 — Two Southeast animals shelters will each receive 15,000-pounds of free World’s Best Cat Litter®️ as a result of a four-day GiveLitter™ charity effort that saw record support from online cat lovers.
The latest round of GiveLitter™ benefits the SPCA of Wake County in North Carolina and the Greater Birmingham Humane Society in Alabama. Both shelters will receive 15,000 lbs. of all-natural litter and 100 trial kits to support their adoption efforts.
Online voters cast 30,000 votes between December 10-14 to ensure both shelters received the maximum amount of litter in a GiveLitter™ round that focused on the Southeast. The latest round is part of a multi-phase campaign that aims to donate 150,000-pounds of World’s Best Cat Litter®️ to shelters across the United States by the end of 2013.
Cat lovers supported the charity by visiting www.worldsbestcatlitter.com/givelitter to cast votes in support of the shelter of their choice. Participants voted daily to donate free litter to the two shelters. The effort was slated to take a week, but only lasted four days when overwhelming support resulted in the goal being reached in a record four days.
